Tell something memorable from your time at JB School?

I was a student at JB school for 13 or 14 years since kindy until grade 12. I had seen how JB school transformed & developed into a great school with some improvements in the curriculum, facilities, academic achievements etc.

I remembered when it only had 1 storey building and now there are several 3 to 4 storey buildings for students to study.

I really had fun time at JB, I basically grew up there. It has been playing a significant part of my youth that shapes me into who I am today.

There were so many unforgetable memories & experiences. The school, friends, teachers, and staff, the whole communities were so nice to somehow felt like we’re a family

    Words for your school

Academically, JB school really helps you deepen & widen your knowledge as well as expand your insight.

It has found the fine methods in educating the students on ideas& concepts of the lessons. It emphasizes on English& Mandarin, the 2 global languages which the teachers teach daily. There are native teachers who help students practicing those 2 languages.

Non- academically, it gives you opportunities to join different competitions in and out school. Personally, I had participated in some sport competitions that were really unforgetable. Keep on being amazing & wonderful, so more students will enjoy their time at school

Tell something memorable from your time at JB School?

My most memorable moment at JB School was when I went to winter camp at Harbin, China. I had never imagined that my first experience of going overseas would be to China, especially for two weeks which was quite long and far especially for a first timer like me. I went there in my last year of High School with Laoshi Dian and other students. The winter camp trip gave me experiences as a real student in China because we studied in their class and ate at their cafeteria during lunch break. I learned so many things on that trip such as Chinese Culture, Calligraphy, History, and Language. My favorite was History because we went to the museum and watched on screen or statues about China’s history. It wasn’t only study for 2 weeks we also had some fun! We went on Ski and The world’s biggest Ice Sculpture. I also experienced small things but unforgettable like ordering food from KFC and buying snacks at the groceries because I need to speak Mandarin all the times which was really challenging for me. End of the story when I came back to JB, I become more confident with my Mandarin. I even got compliment from my native laoshi, she said I spoke so much better than before.

Recommended JB School to others because it’s a really good school and the best one to learn languages, it offers English and Chinese with native teachers. They teach English and Chinese everyday. I can say that their school facility is 9/10.

I’ve got to say all the basketball-related things, like the practices, the competitions, the team itself was very memorable. I remember the day I first got my basketball jersey, it was silver and gold colored and our team’s name was D’Polaris. I was so happy.

    Words for your school

Recommended JB School to others, I would say yes. Because of the diversity that it has, and yet it doesn’t make you feel like an outcast. At least that’s what I felt when I was there.
